Mates on Tour - head to the NZ Elite National Road Cycling Champs

Get some mates together, grab your bikes and head to the NZ Elite National Cyclings Champs in Napier in early January!

Carnival events running alongside the annual Elite and U23 Road National Championships are set to attract thousands keen on soaking up the atmosphere and riding their bikes ' a lot' in Hawkes Bay.

So saddle up and head to Napier for serious fun at the Hawke’s Bay Summer Cycling Carnival 2017, 4-8 January. There are loads of exciting events across five packed days.
Bring the kids and get involved in the Bay Espresso Family Fun Ride down Marine Parade. The iWay Fun Ride is a 40 km recreational (20km each way) ride through beautiful country with lunch and a glass of wine halfway.

The Legends of Cycling Dinner hosted by John features Robbie McEwen, a triple winner of the Tour de France's green jersey sprinters' classification, who at his peak was the fastest sprinter in the world and New Zealand’s most successful professional cyclist Julian Dean.The Legends of Cycling Dinner is being hosted at Church Road Winery after the final day of racing at the NZ Elite National Road Championships.

For the more competitive cyclists, there are full-on races including the Black Barn Vineyards Criterium and Traffic Design Group Flying Lap. And of course, watch New Zealand’s top cyclists battle for the title in the Elite & U23 Road National Championships.
There’s heaps more happening, and there’s something for everyone.
