Rapha Women's Windblock Brevet Jersey Review

17th May 2017

Imagine having one jersey that covers multiple purposes. Rapha, as always, has pulled this off with finesse. There’s no need to layer up or sacrifice food or tools to squeeze in a gilet with this jersey – it’s the ultimate multitasker.

Made with merino wool - the perfect material for long days in the saddle or multistage rides – the jersey stays dry in the wet, warm in the cold and cool in the hot – genius! Plus, the added wind block feature on the front is perfect for chilly descents. The wind resistant polyester front section, zips snugly up to your neck and you can almost pretend that you are still wrapped up in your duvet given the comfort factor it provides.

When the weather turns warm on you, simply unzip the jersey if you need to; though I found it to be comfortable even on some warmer long days over summer. If you do need to unzip the jersey, I was really impressed at how it stayed in place, due to the silicon along the bottom of the jersey, and didn’t swing around with the weight of my riding snacks in the back.

It is truly hard to fault this product. I have lived in mine as it makes those tough long days that bit easier. While the price may be seen as a bit steep I have totally got good value out of it and we are just moving into autumn. Pair it with the Rapha merino arms moving into winter and you are all sorted.
