Tineli Berry Slice Women's Kit

26th January 2017

RRP: JERSEY, $129.95; BIBS $159.95

My first impressions are positive, I immediately like the detail and colour way. With summer coming on I’m excited to test Tineli’s premium spec jersey with highly breathable Vent fabric for summer conditions and Aero Waffle fabric on the sleeves and side panels for performance.

Out on the bike, Tineli’s new Elastic Interface women’s-specific chamois is super comfy and fits really well. The bibs are a good length coming down to about mid-thigh - ‘on point’ with current trends. Tineli’s 6cm Elite Gripper leg-bands play their part too; they are incredibly comfortable and don’t dig in or leave marks on your legs. Importantly, when
you’re climbing or riding an up-tempo effort they stay securely in place.

My first ride in the new kit was one of the hottest days of early summer and the high performance jersey proved to be perfect for the conditions, feeling light and breathable. Our ride ended up being over four hours and even by the end I was still comfortable in the kit. All my food for such longer days in the saddle fitted in the pockets nicely and more importantly it didn’t make the top sag at the back. Overall I have really enjoyed wearing this kit; the colours and design are cool and the comfortable fit is right up there with the best women’s-specific.
